The very first Mission from Starfox Assault! You definetly notice Namco’s hand in this, reminds me a lot of Starblade, somehow. If only there where more levels of this quality, the game would certainly have a better critical reception. Were all waiting for Nintendo to top this on the Wii. Looking at this game and looking back at the original SNES Starfox, I can0t help but notice how far have we evolved videogames in a relatively short time.

I don’t think the game is that bad, but I agree the flying stages are best.

Ok this will sound very critical but, i think the design of the ships are horrible, the ship speed in the game is incredibly low, voices and voice acting are definately horrible and lack emphasis and punctuation, on the plant looks like a lower bit version of halo, and the boss looked hella gay, and hella ****** ***. I also don’t like the all the lighting tails on every ship being so long. Just doesn’t look like starfox. Doesn’t compare in my opinion to starfox64.

I don’t know why everybody hated starfox assult for the foot missions and liked adventure for the same reason. In my opinion, I say assualt is better. Such an underrated game, *sigh*

it seems like Falco and Slippy always get chased by enemies in the first mission ever since Star fox SNES.

Well some ps2 games from that systems High point look pretty much as good as the average 360 game, with the gamecube having better hardware than the ps2 i’m not surprised the graphics are good.
all depends on how efficiently the game was coded. 90% of a systems power is wasted on bad programming.

Nah, it’s not. Mission 2 is a foot stage. But if I remember correctly, you pillot a landmaster tank.

i don’t know about slippy’s voice. i grew up with him and his girls voice
